Our purpose is to eliminate the diagnoses of Fetishism (F65.0), Fetishistic Transvestism (F65.1), and Sadomasochism (F65.5) from the current version of ICD (ICD-10).
Our goal is not to change the American diagnostic system, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) published by the American Psychiatric Association. However there are people in the US targeting the corresponding DSM-diagnoses.

Atlanta gay leather bar raided by police
In a story eerily reminiscent of the June’09 raid on the Rainbow Lounge in Fort Worth, Texas, Atlanta police raided the gay leather bar Atlanta Eagle September 10, 2009. 62 patrons and 8 employees were handcuffed by two dozen police officers and forced to lie on their stomachs facedown on the dirty, beer-soaked floor for two hours, illegally searched, and subjected to homophobic verbal abuse. NCSF, the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, demands a full investigation of the incident and the allocation of resources spending many hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayer's money persecuting Atlanta citizens. Spanner Trust. The Spanner Trust exists to defend the rights of sadomasochists of all sexual orientations and specifically to reverse the UK court ruling which made certain SM activities illegal even though all parties consent.
BVSM e.V. (Bundesvereinigung Sadomasochismus) cooperates with the ReviseF65 committee in the effort to remove stigmatising SM and Fetish diagnoses from the ICD classification published by the WHO - World Health Organisation. The BVSM is working at the deletion of these diagnosis from the national version of the ICD in Germany.Aims of the BVSM are providing a platform for projects and a network of German-speaking activists, collecting knowlegde, support science and doctrine, providing information, lobby and campaign for acceptance of SM people in society.

The purpose of Revise F65 is to delete Fetishism, Transvestism and Sadomasochism as psychiatric diagnoses from the International Classification of Diseases published by the World Health Organization, WHO.
The ReviseF65 committee is a subsidiary of LLH, the Norwegian LGBT Association, with a political mandate from all the LLH biennial National Conventions since 1996. ReviseF65 also have mandate from the international lesbian and gay movement (ILGA 1999), ECMC 2000 and the federal German SM organization BVSM e.V. (2004). Revise F65 consists of SM/Leather/Fetish men and women representing organizations of leather and SM gays, - lesbians, bi- and heterosexuals, as well as professionals in sexology, psychology and psychiatry.
